Garden in mid-august Scannography

by christian staebler
(Lalouret, France)

This is a typical picture from the series of images I've done to depict my garden with one image per week, during a whole year. This was done with elements found during the middle of August. the rodent is called "lerot" in French (didn't find the English name). One more brought by the cat! I tried to keep yellow and dry colors because the summer was very hot here last year and the grass burned. The feather is from an unknown bird of prey. The drawing of the snake took it's place here because I saw one that week in our pond. We have several in the garden. I had to free one last year that was stuck in the fence because it was too big after a recent meal! I first tried to pull it but it defecated on my hand!!! it stinks awfully I can say!! ;-) I then cut the fence so the snake could escape !
