Make Greeting Cards

Looking for easy to make greeting cards? Don't consider yourself very "crafty"?

Purchase blank cards with a place to insert a photo. Or use the ones where you can glue on a photo as the front. Slide in or paste on your favorite scanography and send it on its way.

Banana, food art, scanography
Sometimes everyday things such as food make knock-out greeting cards!

Blank cards, come in several colors.

They usually come in sets, which include the envelopes.

The outcome is professional looking. When I sent out the first few, my friends thought they were purchased.

Now I make a note on the back ..."scanography by me!".

Your greeting cards will compete with those sold in museum shops!

Bundle Cards as Gifts

Are you an avid card creator? Do you make greeting cards and envelopes with special papers and trim?

Your outcome may be even more impressive and personal!

Bundle several of your "scanography" greeting cards together with clear plastic wrap. Tie them with a piece of string or colorful ribbon and give them as gifts.

Friends will be delighted.

They'll wonder how you became such a good photographer!

scanner photography, greeting cards, bamboo

The simplest of scanner photos look fantastic when they are framed by the border of a ready-made card.

This sprig of bamboo is soft and subtle.

Notice the background is not black.

I placed an off-white sheet of stationery on top of the bamboo (top stayed up) and scanned.

This one is appropriate enough for a more serious note.

Double Duty

greeting card, exotic flower, amaryllis
My first print of this Amaryllis scanography was perfect to make a greeting card. I've used it many times.

I also made an 8 X 10 print.

When it was double matted and framed in dark rich wood, it became a perfect thank-you gift. It was beautiful, and totally appreciated!

Christmas Card Photos

Christmas card, greeting cards, Santa

Many things say Happy Holidays!

Making Christmas cards unique is easy.

Surprise everyone ... include your personal photos as an enclosure instead of the 'front page' next year.

Use your scanner photos of ornaments, springs of pine, holly, or almost anything red ... as the cover.
