Mural on canvas

My neighbor Lia Vigorito painted a small piece a driftwood similar to the one she's holding here. I scanned it and made some note cards with this design on it. Then I wondered if I could make it as big as the size of a barn. I superimposed the driftwood scan over a sloppy painting I did of Fayerwether Lighthouse (uh, neither Lia nor I are particularly outstanding painters!) from a blurry photo I snapped from St. Mary's by-the-sea (Bridgeport CT). I had the canvas mural mounted by our neighborhood sign maker and he installed it on the brick wall of a seafood restaurant. Apparently, goofball Lia gave the driftwood away to the parents of a notorious NY Yankee team member so it went to Texas (where his parent's reside). I had to resort to Genuine Fractals to resize the 300 dpi scan from 10" wide to nearly 14 feet wide!
