Scanner Photography for Teens
'Photography for teens' websites are out there, but this is the one where you learn to create images with your flatbed photo scanner!
Create photos without a camera! Get the introduction to creating scanner photography on the
Home Page.
Here's a shot I call "Frogs Attack My Desk"

How did I do that?
On the scanner glass, I placed some toy frogs "backs down" holding the pen, pencil and marker, turned out the lights and hit SCAN. That's about it! Well, almost.
Be sure to read all the 'How-To' pages of Scanner Magic, but for great results . . . especially see
Scanner Tips.
Scanner Photography is Hyper-Real!
Some Ways to Use Your Scanner Photography
- Have a problem getting close-up pictures of things for Ebay?
- Are you a web designer?
- Want to create photo art with rich black backgrounds?
- Great shots for t-shirts and mugs.
- Your greeting cards and party invitations will be a big hit!

Use Scanner Magic for homework and other school projects
too. From science projects to book reports; the results produced with your photo scanner will impress!
Scanners have a shallow depth of field (DOF), therefore, small things become amazing.
All of the 'photos' on this site were scanned on my cheap Epson 3170 flatbed scanner. NO Photoshop was used. The only software techniques I took advantage of were Paint to get rid of 'dust' and Crop to resize.
You can also use advanced scan techniques and add Photoshop to have even wilder images!

Puzzle Fun!
Imagine your favorite scanner photography as a jig saw puzzle. Create one and send it to a friend! Put the most difficult one on your web site! Check out the
Jig Saw Puzzle page.
