More About Scanner Photography
Getting started in scanner photography is easy -- it can get more technical as your curiosity grows. By now, many of you are trying to find that old flatbed scanner you stored away. You are not alone.
There are over 100 sites on the internet by others exploring this photo technique. Some are professional photographers and others are amateurs like myself.
Exciting, isn't it?
Visit every page of Scanner Magic so you don't miss any of my own scanography examples! I think one of my best experiments with scanner photography. . . so far, is the exotic flower shown at the bottom of this page.

Sites to Visit for Additional Instruction
When I first discovered scanography, I searched the web to find others as fascinated as I was. It took me awhile -- I really didn't know what to call it or where to search.
I eventually found two scanography artists who were especially gracious about sharing their flatbed scanner experiences. Their knowledge in this field, far exceeds mine. I continue to learn from them and others.
1. When I found Patri Feher, I felt like I was finally getting somewhere. Her site, Black Rose Gallery, is full of phenomenal information. I e-mailed Patri a photo technique question. She not only answered my question; she encouraged me with her expertise. We've had some great e-conversations.
Patri spends days on end creating images - many from her beautiful garden. Her passion shows in her exquisite scanography. Her instructions will take you beyond Auto Mode. This is a link to her down-to-earth how-to page. While you're there, be sure to visit Patri's Gallery.

2. The second scanographer I found was Vincent de Groot. Vinc is a professional photographer. He is also very willing to share his knowledge.
His exceptional 'Food' scanner photography is only surpassed by his clear 'how-to' section. A little more sophisticated than some. . . his scanner photo technique detail will be especially appreciated by more experienced computer users. Don't let this stop you.

My Own Scanner Photography
A Personal Favorite
The exotic flowers in South Florida are just one of the reasons I feel fortunate to live here. This is a Monstera deliciosa bloom from my yard. The center part is edible and tastes somewhat like pineapple and banana with a little black pepper sprinkled in!
Many artists like to keep their methods a secret. Knowing it all comes back, I feel sharing is just a part of the game.
One of the things I like to share is other good Scanner Magic sites. I have created a list of a few of my favorites.
Visit 'Scanography as Art' to see my selections.
If you ever get lost within the Scanner Magic site, you can always go to the site map or
