Vegetable Pictures
Using Scanography
Use your photo scanner to create fantastic "vegetable pictures". Just a few of the things vegetable photos are good for:
- Impressive frame-able art
- Images for recipe letters to a friend
- Fun do-it-yourself kids' books and
- Educational flash cards.
Today's experts in scanner photography often use vegetables as subjects in their art. Next time you go grocery shopping, observe the array of shapes and colors available in the produce department!
One container of mini-sweet peppers in three different colors gave me three different ideas!
I call this straight row of yellow peppers 'Line 'em Up'.

'A Pile of Peppers' is just that. Although I must admit it took a little arranging to get them to look like this.

Peppers with Posterization
Some of my first experiences with scanography in the Auto Mode were what I call Oops. Now I know that the result has a "real" name - posterization. See the
Oops and Uglies page for more details.
These peppers are the result of an Oops.
To me they look like 'The Happy Trio'.

Veggies for Everyone!
Vegetables are good food subjects for kids too (not too messy). I recommend using a sheet of acetate on the glass when scanning any foods. For more information see the page on
Acetate Sheets.
These three scanner images are from just one vegetable! There are other vegetables throughout the site.
